How to Easily Create a Holiday Hurricane Candle Holder
Ever wonder how those little wreaths and other decor make it to the base of some hurricane candle holders when seemingly there is no way they would fit unless you cut the wire on the wreath? Wonder no more! In most cases the hurricane candle holder can be taken apart and then decorated easily. Just take care with the glass when disassembling.
Here’s 4 easy how-to steps to create your own holiday hurricane candle holder with photos:
1. Your hurricane may look like this or another with a pedestal base:

2. Unscrew the base slowly. Often there is also an insert inside the glass vessel itself that holds the votive or pillar. Carefully unscrew all parts and remove completely.
Take all parts off carefully taking note how they fit back together.
3. Take the wreath of your choice, one with a large enough wire “mouth” to fit over the very base of the candle holder.

4. Reassemble the remainder of the Hurricane at this point as once you’ve put the wreath on the base you’re essentially done until you fill your hurricane. Other than candles I’d also suggest using fillers like such as; pine cones, red hots, starlight mints, holiday ornaments, colorful balls, nuts, the list is endless!
